Recipe: Sobolo (Hibiscus Flower) With A Touch Of Mint

Sobolo + Mint.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Hibiscus flower (Sobolo leaves)
  • 2 Ginger fingers
  • 4 Cloves
  • Lime
  • Mulberries
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Ice Cubes
  • Mint

Here’s a video that teaches you how to make a tasty Sobolo (Hibiscus Flower):

PREPARATIONS:

  1. Take pot fill it with 1 litre of water, place on stove then set it to boil.
  2. In a bowl add dried Hibiscus flowers.
  3. Add hot water to the flowers and set aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Next add Chopped fresh ginger and cloves to the pot, and let mixture sit for 30 minutes.
  5. Take Strainer and strain the juice made from the flowers, ginger and cloves.
  6. Add brown sugar to the juice and stir.
  7. Chill juice in fridge for an hour
  8. Squeeze 2 limes in shallow bowl. Dip rim of glass in lime juice, then in brown sugar.
  9. To the glass add mulberries, chopped lime and ice.
  10. Pour sobolo into glass and garnish with lime.
