Officers arrived at North Sam Houston Parkway after receiving a call from Ms Morden's mother, Patricia, on Saturday afternoon.

She claimed Clay had called her using her daughter's phone on Friday night and described how he had just killed Ms Morden.

Shocked and distressed by Clay's account of the murder, Ms Morden's mother hung up the phone and quickly travelled to her daughter's apartment.

Upon arriving at her apartment, Ms Morden's mother discovered her daughter's dead body.
