Welcome To Ghana

Thank you for you interest in travelling to the Republic of Ghana (fomerly the Gold Coast) Africa's Heritage Country. The country lies on the Gulf of Guinea on the Western coast of tropical Africa, bordered to the West by Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), to the east by Togo, to the north by Burkina Faso and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean.

Ghana "the Pride of Africa" is not a large country by African Standards, but has lots to offer in terms of a beautiful tropical weather, a warm and pleasant camaraderie, and a very interesting Kaleidoscope of cultural attractions. The country boasts of very good golf courses, safe and undamaged beaches with world class hotels and restaurants. You will not be disappointed.

The country is divided into ten functional regions, of which each has a regional capital. Alll these regions have tourist attractions some of which are culturally unique especially with regards to festivals, funerals, markets, foods, dressing etc. They also have places of interest, which sometimes relates to its historical heritage and wildlife and nature reserves .

These are the regions and their capitals respectively:- Greater Accra Region- Accra, Ashanti Region-Kumasi, Brong Ahafo Region-Sunyani, Western Region- Sekondi Takoradi, Central Region- Cape Coast, Eastern Region-Koforidua, Volta Region-Ho, Northern Region-Tamale, Upper West Region- Wa, and Upper East Region- Bolgatanga.
