Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mr. Kwame Opare Addo, says the club will not be blown away by the team’s performance in the ongoing GHALCA G8 tournament.

Mr. Opare Addo who is also the editor of Hearts News further explained that the focus of the technical team and playing body remains unchanged even though they find themselves in the finals of the competition.

According to him, the head coach is still focused on trying his new players and fine tuning for the season; therefore, winning the trophy on Sunday will just be a bonus.

“Our focus from the start of the tournament is what we still have our eyes on; the coach wanted us to try our new players after we lost quite a number of the old players at the end of last season”, he said.

“Our aim was not to get to the final; we admit there is a lot to be done after all the quality [players] that have left but we will keep working hard to prove ourselves. We are not a dilapidated side as people are saying”, added.

According to him, management of the team has recognized the players’ efforts and see their presence in the finals as addendum to the preseason goals.

“Dreams FC will have to go above themselves and do something extra to beat Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” Opare Addo concluded.

Hearts of Oak will lock horns with Dreams FC at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday to battle for supremacy in the final of the 2018 GHALCA G8 Tournament.
